Sacred Nudity, Holy Intimacies
The unveiling of the human form, be it male or female, is a holy and sacred act. Those who do so may not fully realize the significance of their actions. They may be motivated by profit, or the simple delight of clothes-free liberty. But they do not need to understand the full spiritual dynamics to participate in them.
The act of removing our clothes and sharing our nudity is a revealing of a sublime beauty that honors and glorifies God. It was He who molded and shaped the bodacious breasts of a young woman, the curve of her hips, the beauty of her behind. It was He who formed the cock and balls of a young man and made them the sweet splendor that they are. In no way am I sexually attracted to my own gender but I can certainly appreciate the delightful magnificence of both the male and female form. And all beauty points to the glory of our great God.
For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body. 2 Corinthians 6:20 NASB
The bedroom is the Holy of Holies of the home and the marriage. The sexual acts enjoyed in its confines are a delight to man, to woman, and especially to God. They are a marvelous picture of our spiritual relationship with him now, and what our time with Him will be like after the Marriage Supper of the Lamb when we as His Bride are eternally united with the Lord Jesus Christ. What that will actually look like, only heaven and eternity will fully reveal. But in the sensual and sexual relationship between a husband and his wife we get a small glimpse of these glories. Those who have described these intimacies delight the heart, mind, and even the spirit of those who read. And those who, for a few moments, pull back the veil and let us see within their Inner Chamber are allowing us to witness some of the most holy moments this side of eternity. The splendor and pleasure of their lovemaking testifies to the splendor and glory of our great God, and the joys that can be had in His Presence. But as wonderful as it can be to witness their intimacies, so much more beautiful and pleasurable is our time with Him.
Old Testament Tabernacle
When I speak of the Holy of Holies I am referring to the most sacred part of the Old Testament Tabernacle in the Wilderness, and the later Temple. This place of worship had three sections. First the priest entered the Outer Court that contained the Brazen Altar and the Brazen Laver. Then he went past the curtain into the Holy Place with the Seven Branched Menorah, the Table of Showbread, and the Altar of Incense. Finally, on special occasions the High Priest was privileged to go beyond the Veil and enter the Holy of Holies where the Glory of God rested between the Cherubim, over Mercy Seat that was on top of the Ark of the Covenant.
Many spiritual lessons have been described from the furniture, the acts of worship at each one, and the journey into the Holy of Holies. I have already described one. The Holy of Holies not only reveals our intimate relationship with God through the Lord Jesus Christ, it is also a revelation of the holiness of the marital bedroom.
In our first approach to God there are often things that must be consumed by fire on the Brazen Altar. There are mindsets from which we need to be cleansed at the Brazen Laver through the washing of water of the Word of God. Then we are prepared to go past the curtain into the Holy Place and from there even beyond the Veil into the Holy of Holies.
I have developed three main websites. Not to over-spiritualize but I confess I see a comparison between the Old Testament Tabernacle and what I believe the Lord wants to do through each of my sites.
In the first website, Christians and Solo Sex I describe the delights of masturbation, and clearly explain that it is a gift from God to be enjoyed; freely, fully and as frequently as you desire. To use the symbolism of the Old Testament Tabernacle I bring my readers to the Brazen Altar. This is the place where false and unbiblical ideas about masturbation are surrendered, sacrificed, put to death - consumed by the Fire of simple Biblical Truth.
Ungodly Thinking Cleansed
On my second website, www.Genesis2Twentyfive.com - also known as Christians, Nudity and Erotica - I take us to the Brazen Laver. Ephesians 5:26 talks of “washing of water with the word” and it is here that with the pure clear truth of God’s Holy Word that I invite us to be washed and cleansed from the ungodly thinking that calls nudity sinful and sordid. How can we call evil what God has declared is good?
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight! Isaiah 5:20 - 21 NASB
Through the Curtain ~ Into the Holy Place
I also suggested it is possible to move beyond the Brazen Altar and past the Brazen Laver and to pull back the curtain between the Outer Court of the Tabernacle and with reverence and awe come into the Holy Place. The same as the priests in the OT went beyond the fabric and into the Holy Place, I taught that we can look beyond the fabric of clothing and gaze upon the naked glory of male and female. God looked at Adam and Eve in their fully naked state and said, “It is good.”
God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. Genesis 1:31 NASB
We can agree with God about this. Here, by the light of the seven branched lamp we can see images of naked glory, images that can only delight our hearts and fill our souls with wonder. We can see by the light of the lamp. We feast our souls on the Showbread of sweet beauty that reflects His glory. And at the Altar of Incense we can offer praise to God for the splendor revealed.
Yes, being naked is usually a private matter. But in the Holy Place we can enjoy that which is usually kept private.
The Holy of Holies
And I suggested it is possible to go even further. God called the marriage bed and sexual acts between a husband and his wife holy. How can we do otherwise? We can, with reverence and awe, enter beyond the magnificent cloth veil and see the glory of God in the Holy of Holies of the home, the bedroom. While there we enjoy the view, and with godly fear and utter delight celebrate the effects such glory produces in us. We can be stimulated, aroused, delighted and fully enjoy that arousal and all the pure pleasure it can bring; all to the glory of our great God.
When nudity is revealed
we see God’s glorious image.
When the erotica is enjoyed,
we see our unity with Him.
And our sexuality celebrates
the delights of both.
When nudity is revealed we see God’s glorious image. When the erotica is enjoyed, we see our unity with Him. And our sexuality celebrates the delights of both.
Beauty Beyond the Curtain
But now we come to this website. Here I do more than just describe the joy of masturbation, the freedom of enjoying nudity, and the delights of erotica. On this site I will bring us through the cloth curtain into the Holy Place and let you see Sacred Nudity. If your heart is pure and you love your Creator, the Lord your God, you can use what you see to inspire praise and worship of He who created such beauty and called it good. Or, if you beliefs permit, you can use it to stoke the sacred flame of your passion. What you do with what you see is up to you.
In the Holy Place see the Table of Showbread and the Altar of Incense by the light of the Seven Branched Golden Candlestick. In the Light of His glory and grace we see the beauty of the naked human form and receive joy. And like the Showbread on the Table, nudity can also wonderfully feed our inner man. For many of us it satisfies a hunger deep in our souls, and does so in a way like no other. And finally, our appreciation for nudity can lead us to the Altar of Incense where we offer praise to Almighty God for what we have seen and how it has affected our spirit. Holy Nudity is a wonderful thing. When we are with our spouse it can prepare us to enter beyond the Veil into the Holy of Holies of sexual intimacy. And at other times we can celebrate with those who have shared with us their own sacred moments of unveiling, and simply enjoy what we see.
In the light of the candlestick
we see nudity as a stunningly
beautiful reflection of God’s Glory.
When you see nudity merely in the natural light of the Outer Court it may not seem holy and pure. It may even seem sordid or pornographic to some. But in the light of the candlestick that perspective is radically transformed and we see it as a stunningly beautiful reflection of God’s Glory. We see it from a redeemed and Godly perspective.
Holiness Intimacies Beyond the Veil
I also provide you with the chance, should you so choose, to go beyond the Veil into the Holy of Holies of the home, the bedroom, where holy intimacies and pure passion and pleasure are enjoyed. These are scenes of majesty and glory. You will see the sacred flame burning brightly between husband and wife as they delight in each other and express that delight in kissing, in caressing, in foreplay, in manual and oral stimulation, in lovemaking, and in orgasm. The Holiness of these sacred acts is profound. They are so profound God has used them as the ultimate illustration of His Love for His Church and our eternal relationship of intimacy with Him.
In the Holy of Holies there is no natural light of the sun, no oil fueled light of the candelabra, only the Light of the Glory of God. What is witnessed here must be seen as pure because He has made it and revealed it as pure and holy. These are sacred mysteries. If you allow yourself to enjoy the view, proceed with a pure heart, and with fear and trembling.
To call the sacred sordid
is an expression of a heart
sullied by sin. To call
it pure and holy is to
align our hearts and minds with
the Heart and Mind of God.
And remember, to call the sacred sordid is an expression of a heart sullied by sin. To call it pure and holy is to align our hearts and minds with the Heart and Mind of God.
To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled. Titus 1:15 NASB
If these images stimulate you sexually and He releases you to use them for your pleasure I pray God will bless you in so doing. That is between you and the Lord. Solo sex is a wonderful gift from God to be fully and freely enjoyed.
Our Body, His Tabernacle
For those who think I am abusing Sacred Scripture to make these comparisons, it would be good to remember that I am not the one who first described our bodies in these sacred terms.
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 Corinthians 5:1 KJV
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NASB
God Himself made the comparison between the Tabernacle in the Wilderness and our physical form and the. Mine is just a fresh and perhaps novel application of that truth.
We can simply enjoy nudity and even erotica as a delight, even a spiritual exercise whereby the beauty brings us closer to God. We can also employ nudity and erotica as a means of stimulation to self-pleasuring and sexual gratification.
Both approaches are equally legitimate, equally blessed and equally a blessing, but they are not one in the same. Even if you choose to not sexually pleasure yourself there is no need to deny yourself the simple edifying and enjoyable view of nudity, and even erotica. Their enjoyment is a blessing all on its own.

Christians Enjoying Nudity and Erotica
And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
